    Whether it was the elder of the tribe, the Chaucer of the Court or the Grimms of the Fairy Tale, the story teller was the magic weaver of dreams, the keeper of history and the conscience of the tribe.

Telling kids stories stirs their imagination and later , when kids have learned to read , stories open up the world.
In 2009 K.D.O. is focusing on story telling as part of literacy and have engaged three different story tellers to weave the age old magic.
Come to the Story Teller's Tent and

meet Arabella , the Story Teller at one of the following times,10 : 00 a.m.; 11:15 a.m., and 12 : 00 noon or

meet Martin , poet and cartoonist and story teller of a different kind at one of the following times , 10 : 45a.m.,
12 : 45 p.m.and 2 : 30 p.m. or

meet Jo , Youth and Childrren's Service Librarian from Wyong Library and special story teller at 1:30p.m.

A mat and some cushions will invite you to sit down and listen with your kids. After all ,it doesn't matter how old we are, we all love listening to a good story.
