Go along to Darling Harbour and visit the Australian National Maritime Museum AND go along to K.D.O. and join in the activities that the Museum has specially created for the mini-mariners
The Australian National Maritime Museum is one place you should visit when you go to Darling Harbour. Filled with maritime artifacts , the museum tells the story of our island nation and the ships that have sailed to it and those that have defended it.
In arranging its entertainment for kids [ or as they like to call them , mini Mariners ] the Museum has developed a program of actvities to take the kids on their own adventures
Craft, dress ups and story telling are all part of the show. Activities will last about 30 minutes and will be led by members of the Museum's team. You will need a ticket for these workshops and these will be obtained at the Yerra Building.
Workshop 1 at 10 : 15 will cater for 4-5 year olds
workshop 2 at 11 : 15 will cater for 6-7 year olds while the final two workshops at 12 : 15 p.m. and 1 : 15 p.m. will be open to a variety of groups. The kids [ and the parents who are really kids at heart] will have great fun with these activities
Be sure that your mini mariner spends some time with the Museum.
