Does the cry, "tell me a Story" sound familiar? This year K.D.O. has great pleasure in highlighting the story teller. Whether you go to the Gibalee Centre in the Library or the Story Teller's Tent on the ground your kids will hear some special tales. Indigenous story tellers will entrance in the Library while Arabella the Story Teller and Martin Killips and Jo Potter will be featured in the Story Teller's Tent.
As well as all the fabulous activities and entertainment available on the day, parents will have a chance to seek the advice of people who specialise in the field of early infant behaviour. From relaxing babies in Baby Massage and Baby Yoga to modifying behaviour in infants there will be someone who will have some advice. Workshops will be available in the area of the Yerra Building while activities have been arranged by a variety of groups, some of which are the National Maritime Musuem, N.I.D.A. and the Hunter T.A.F.E.
This year we are delighted to have visiting us representatives of the National Institute of Dramatic Art and the National Maritime Museum of Australia. N.I.D.A. is celebrating its 50th Birthday and we are very happy to have them join us this year. They will be conducting three workshops in the Yerra Building. Places will be limited so get in early. We welcome the National Maritime Museum and their mini-mariners activities program for the first time this year. They will be conducting activities throughout the course of the day and once again places will be limited. Don't miss out. Sydney is coming to the Coast - this is too good an opportunity to miss.
Kids of all ages love rides and we have a choice of rides although they are mainly for the kids - sorry parents. Watch the kids enjoy the fun of the ride. Cost is ONLY two dollars per person per ride.
